After moving to Canada, the artist spent decades studying natural entropy in the Canadian wilderness. His practice expanded to include gestural drawings, mixed media, video and bio interventions involving living wildlife such as black bears, birds and insects. His current work is exploring notions of immortality and celebrity, cultural amnesia and anthropomorphic arrogance. It is riddled with symbolism and historical contexts. His work responds to today’s society’s ubiquitously ridiculous “rational” defence of its irrationality. He asserts that, “disrespect for death is killing life”.
