In the age of “global weirding” Grow Op 2020 invites audiences to experience thought-provoking and awe-inspiring immersive installations that explore the themes of weather and climate through the lens of contemporary art.
Discussing the weather has long been a Canadian obsession, but small talk has turned to big talk as the conversation about climate change gains international attention and urgent action. At this year’s Grow Op exhibition: artists, designers and educators explore food sustainability in face of climate change, the sublime power of the sky, and how climate change can connect communities.
Grow Op is a four-day festival that transforms the hotel’s second floor with 20+ immersive installations that celebrate innovative ideas and conceptual responses to urbanism, environmental sustainability, landscape design through the lens of contemporary art.
