Gallery TPW
170 St Helens Avenue, Toronto
On Thursday night Gallery TPW, the Toronto Photographers Workshop, opened their new gallery space located at 170 St. Helen’s Avenue. With a wide open door, the former warehouse welcomed several guests to large gallery spaces ready to be filled with future photographic and video art.
For their opening, the gallery hosted one interactive exhibit, in which guests answered survey questions regarding art and contemporary display. The answers were projected onto the wall, with real-time results. With full rooms, the gallery’s opening night seemed to be a great success.
Gallery TPW’s first exhibition is part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, hosting Lonnie van Brummelen and Siebren de Haan’s Episode of the Sea showing May 2- 23, 2015.
