NEW APPROACHES TO LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, URBAN DESIGN, ART AND EXHIBITION
The Gladstone Hotel cultivates Grow Op, a new four-day, juried event challenging preconceived notions of landscape architecture, garden design, art and place making. The only exhibition of its kind in Toronto, Grow Op participants will be bringing some high art to outdoor design culture.
Planting over 20 unique site-specific, installation-based ideas throughout the entire hotel, Grow Op will explore new territories and uncover new ways of expression and meaning through projects that represent a wide range of approaches from the prosaic to the poetic, the elemental to the ephemeral. Highlights include a mineral garden grown in vintage violin cases, a hydroponic, freestanding vertical garden and even an outdoor chicken hotel.
