CANADIAN SCULPTURE CENTRE Presents THINGS FALL APART a solo exhibition by Andrew Pawlowski.
THINGS FALL APART… explore natural disasters, human tragedies, and apocalyptic prophesies.
Pawlowski incorporates found materials, driftwood, bronze and stone assemblages with medieval flair. His symbolic carvings of wood and stone reflect variants of human attitudes towards self-deception. Mental visions imbued along the mysterious road between life and death sway the viewer away from the main tract unmasking human weaknesses. The assemblages may be visually disturbing at times, and thought-provoking intentionally, they evoke poignant dark humour, yet “things come together again”.
