“None of These Things” solo exhibition; Drawings by Mike Parsons
Mike Parsons’ solo exhibition at the Robert Kananaj Gallery will have complete body of work from drawings, comic books, to interactive video projection. Mike uses black and white ink drawings, comic books, street art, murals, and animation to explore the relationships between man, technology, progress, and the natural environment. He depicts the monstrous metropolis as a giant gear, sometimes invaded by towering trees, or overrun by cars, or swarms of unique and strange individuals. Mike’s work emphasizes the role of the individual and challenges consumerist ideologies.
Award winning Toronto-based artist Mike Parsons and video game programmer MichaelPeters have created a collaborative interactive video installation, a Virtual Metropolis, which promises to be an exciting feature of this year’s Nuit Blanche festival. September 29, 2012, 7 pm to 7 am, “The Virtual Metropolis”, interactive video project.
