The Toronto Walk Project presents the photography and sound documentation of some of the liveliest neighbourhoods of Toronto from morning to evening. The walking journey of visual and audio data gathering took place on  August 27, 2011; by chance, the same day of the funeral of NDP leader, Jack Layton. Five teams consisting of a photographer and a sound recordist /reporter hit the streets for close to ten hours to capture material as they walked along. None of the crewmembers except the project director had met with their team mates before, turning the task of documenting the city into an exhilarating experience.

The idea behind the making of this project is simply to celebrate the beautiful city we live in, the Toronto Walk Project is the platform where one can view and/or hear some of the city’s streets, colours, citizens, stories, sounds, and all the small nuances that make it so unique.
