By the chance of living close to Chinatown in Toronto, the various Chinese immigrants draw my interests into a deeper, almost daily inspection. Most of the people there work as cheap labor in restaurants or market places for years. The extra working load with poor payment strangely keeps them from taking shortcuts or other ways to make livings. This particular phenomenon then can be extended to a more serious question of WHY? Is it because of they do not have other opportunities or some other sentimental connections that keep them in such humble places? What then is the purpose of immigration? These few photos may not able to answer the questions exactly but I am sure they will get people to notice – both Chinese people and people from the other countries. With all the questions posted after all, I wish to show my highest dedication and respect to their patients and determinations.
