The award, which is presented annually to one artist who has made an outstanding contribution to the visual arts in Canada, includes a $50,000 cash prize and a solo exhibition at the AGO. Farmer’s exhibition will open in February 2014.
The tour starts at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery with a tour by guest curator, Rosemary Heather and then departs for the Art Gallery of York University and Oakville Galleries, returning to Hart House.
The Power Plant will blow out the walls to extend this year’s art party across Harbourfront Centre and around the world, with interactive online installations and with you at the centre of it all.
