Toronto-born Gloria Green obtained a degree in Nutrition from Ryerson University and received her Master’s of Science from the University of Toronto.
Seven years ago, Green was inspired to draw upon her ever-present love of music and abstract art, emerging on the art scene as a painter. Inspired by an early training in classical piano and an interest in abstract artists such as Franz Kline and Rothko, she studied abstract painting under the direction of artist Lydia Parnat at the Avenue Road School of Art.
She attended the Toronto School of Art, using acrylic paint as a medium, and her work took prolific shape. Her musical inspiration brings to life her artistic visions. As a consequence working in the health care field, her artwork shines with feeling and sentiment.
