CLARITY is a contemporary minimalist group art exhibition at Project Gallery. The works featured in this exhibit, and their curation, will reflect ideals of simplicity, clarity and decisiveness. Accepting submissions in any and all media, works that embody a minimalist aesthetic, emphasizing the subtle complexities that comprise or implicate anything that may appear simple, as well as the boldness of something pure and potent.
The exhibit will consider questions like: Can anything truly be simple? What’s the relationship between our perceptions of order and chaos versus true physical entropy and synchronicity? What is the relationship between understanding, simplicity, clarity, decision, and action? What gets lost in our attempts to strive for simple answers? What is the relationship between process and product in art?

APERTURE is an optics based contemporary art exhibit that emphasizes the power of perspective. The word ‘aperture’ in Optics refers to the hole through which light and image travel. In this sense we explore photography, images and visual artworks in their ability to capture a moment and perspective and relay it to others, opening a hole that shares a glimpse of one person’s perspective to another. In Geometry the word ‘aperture’ is the inclination of lines, which meet in a point. This is also interesting in terms of artist’s assemblage of seemingly disparate information, objects or settings and uniting them in one frame as a cohesive, or sometimes in cohesive, perspective.
We are looking for works that employ, represent, explore and consider unique, alternative and unconventional perspectives. This may be in terms of literal perspective, focal points, composition, palette etc.
