Sun. 1 &#8211; 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Members of Toronto\u2019s Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography are pleased to announce their presentation of two group shows at Gallery 1313 in conjunction with CONTACT 2012 Photography Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Structured around the theme of <strong><em>Acts of Exposure<\/em><\/strong>, each photographer has evoked his or her own individual perception of the theme.\u00a0Among others, these include the use of portraiture as a means to examine the multi-faceted relationship between the subject and the photographer; documentation of public spaces and their human-inflicted deterioration; and exploration of the effects of corporate branding on the social landscapes of non-western cultures.\u00a0The photographers present a diverse range of expression of ideas with imagination, passion, talent and knowledge of the medium.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Acts of Exposure<\/em><\/strong> captures light, strips away facades, reveals truths, discloses untruths, airs emotions, bares souls, exposes confusion, uncovers patters, risks ridicule, leaves vulnerable, but braves risks.\u00a0The acts may be born of an instant, but the images will last a lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>Artist talks will be held on Saturdays at 2 pm during the show.\u00a0Selected works from the show may be viewed at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.actsofexposure.com\">www.actsofexposure.com<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participating Artists:<\/strong><br \/>\n(Act 1)<br \/>\nNelly Akerman Singer, Nicole Croiset, Jack Martin,<br \/>\nLaura Horne, Shelagh Howard, Kelly Lamorie,<br \/>\nDavid Faltenhine, Lisa Murzin, Paul Osadchuk,<br \/>\nAnnie Sakkab, Giovanni Senisi, Laurence Siegel,<br \/>\nBarbara Staulus, Fateh Vaziri<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><strong>May 2 -13, 2012<\/strong><br \/>\nOpenings: Thursday, May 3, 7 &#8211;
