Inspired by an early training in classical piano and an interest in abstract artists such as Franz Kline and Rothko, she studied abstract painting under the direction of artist Lydia Parnat at the Avenue Road School of Art.<\/p>\n<p>She attended the Toronto School of Art, using acrylic paint as a medium, and her work took prolific shape.
