{"id":57529,"date":"2026-01-30T14:38:04","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T19:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artoronto.ca\/?p=57529"},"modified":"2026-01-30T14:49:32","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T19:49:32","slug":"ali-sheikh-at-the-dupont-rail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artoronto.ca\/?p=57529","title":{"rendered":"Ali Sheikh at the Dupont Rail"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In his <em>Loudest Sound<\/em> exhibition at Dupont Rail Gallery, painter and illustrator Ali Sheikh explores the stated &#8220;intensities of life through oil paint, ink, pencil, and found object.\u201d While Sheikh\u2019s output here at Dupont Rail is uniformly visual, and in that respect entirely mute, its \u201csound\u201d amounts to an oblique referent. Also, Christian Marclay, a visual artist with a rich association with music who is showing mono prints of vinyl record sleeves and covers at the Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco. The staging of eight shows is projected per year, Dupont Rail Gallery being the current venue.
