Ilya Gefter is a skilled representational artist whose oil paintings convey poignant and deeply personal experiences of place.\u00a0 In each image, Gefter negotiates a delicate balance between intuition and calculating observation.\u00a0 He decribes his paintings as, “born somewhere between the Experience and the Ideal.”<\/p>\n
