Gallery 1313 is pleased to present, THE MESSAGE<\/strong>, an exhibition of new media artists who explore the effects of technology on popular culture and society. The exhibition is also a celebration of the legacy of Marshall Mcluhan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Curated<\/strong> by Gallery Director, Phil Anderson<\/strong> and is sponsored by Highland Park\u00a0 Single Malt Scotch Whiskey<\/strong>. We would like to thank Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whiskey\u00a0for their generous support.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There will mix of installation, video works and\u00a0 photo based works. The exhibition will take place in the Main and Process Galleries.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>They Live Small,\u00a0photo based image from Daniel Borins and Jennifer Marman<\/p>\n

There will also be panel discussion Wednesday, November 9,\u00a07pm<\/strong> which will address the future and effects of technology in artistic practise and society in general.\u00a0\u00a0Panelists are to include Ed Slopek<\/strong>, Program Director for the New Media Option (Ryerson University), School of Image Works, Johanna Householder<\/strong>, Chair of Criticism and Curitorial Practice (Ontario College of Art and Design) and Judith Doyle<\/strong>, Chair of Integrated Media (The Ontario College of Art and Design) . The panel will be moderated by writer and cultural commentor, Russell Smith<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
