Interested in the environment she uses a variety of media including wax, pigment and tar to visually document the evolving destruction of our environment. Her work draws the viewer into an examination of color contrast and form illustrating her interpretation of the impact man continues to leave on our physical environment.<\/p>\n

“This series of paintings represent of the tenuous relationship between man and nature. My aim is to visually document the evolving destruction of the world we live in. These paintings are my interpretation of the carbon footprint \u2013 man\u2019s continuing contamination of our physical environment. The use of pigmented wax in my paintings creates a subtle presentation of erosion, juxtaposed with the breaking up of surface, which is used to profile the phenomenal force of nature.”\u00a0 Lesley Harries\u2013Jones<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
