The <strong>AWOL Gallery Collective<\/strong> has worked tirelessly to help promote New &amp; Established Visual Artists from all over the world with this very special art event. With hundreds of artists and over a thousand works of art, AWOL Gallery promises a dynamic visual art experience. Be the first to see the show at the <strong>Exclusive Gala Charity Reception<\/strong> or join the queue for the exciting <strong>Artist\u2019s Reception<\/strong>, traditionally attracting hundreds with a line up to get inside. <strong>The Square Foot<\/strong> experience is a fun, visual delight. The shows appeal is in the collective creative energy of having hundreds of local, national, and international artists showcasing their work in a central location.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now in it\u2019s Tenth year<\/strong>, <strong>The Square Foot Show<\/strong> is one of <strong>AWOL Collective<\/strong>\u2019s proudest achievements and they plan to make this another very special celebration of visual art and the artists that create it. <strong>Square Foot<\/strong> brings together artists from a variety of backgrounds, disciplines and career levels, <em>offering their work at $225 per piece<\/em>. Established and emerging artists are provided with a distinctive group show opportunity while exposing their work to galleries and collectors. <strong>The Square Foot Show<\/strong> is a must-see event for artists and collectors alike. Having long outgrown it\u2019s original home at the <strong>AWOL Gallery<\/strong>, <strong>Square Foot<\/strong> will be presented off-site in the <strong>Twist Gallery<\/strong> venue at 1100 Queen West. Twist Gallery provides the perfect space to experience a show of this magnitude; accommodating over a thousand pieces of art and hundreds of art lovers.<\/p>\n<p>This year <strong>AWOL will be hosting a ticketed Gala Preview on Friday August 3rd from 7:00 to 10:00 pm<\/strong>. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, with proceeds from ticket sales going to support local charities, The Daily Bread Food Bank and Arts For Children and Youth.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>AWOL Gallery<\/strong> Original Square Foot Show has inspired numerous imitation shows in Toronto and throughout North America. However, it has been AWOL\u2019s commitment to a non-juried, affordable, international community exhibition that has continually kept the show unique, fun, and versatile. This years Original Square Foot Ten Year Anniversary Exhibition is not to be missed.<\/p>\n<p>Who are they? <strong>AWOL Gallery<\/strong> and Studios is celebrating its 13th year of showcasing Contemporary Art in Toronto. The Ossington Avenue location houses the gallery along with fourteen studio spaces and has been a pioneer of the Queen West Gallery District and Ossington revitalization.
