He has held numerous solo exhibitions, mainly in Ottawa and Toronto, including a major mid-career survey at the Ottawa Art Gallery in 1989 and has been included in group shows across Canada and abroad. His most recent solo exhibition was <em>On Some Faraway Beach<\/em> at Toronto\u2019s Fran Hill Gallery in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPainting is a process of sustained improvisation\u2014one thing leads to another.
