I’ve considered myself a professional for about 20 of that. My work has changed greatly during that time, so has the technology as I’ve explored and experimented, but my way of seeing hasn’t. I spend less time in the darkroom but I hope that will change. I shoot film, digital, expired polaroid, I use old cameras and toy cameras. But in the end the images I make come from simply seeing. My work is about, color, light, movement, the moment, the day-to-day minutes that occur quietly without much notice. It’s about the silent and the still, the frozen in time, yet fleeting instances in our lives. I love what I do and I hope to be making images for another 40 years.” Sandy Middleton

Sandy has worked as both a commercial and art photographer for over 20 years since graduating from Ryerson University with a BAA in still photography in 1991 and continuing her education and work in the design field.
