Since her graduation from George Brown College with a Graphic Design Major she’s been working successfully as a Graphic Artist in the Marketing and Advertising field. Being passionate about art she has also started a new career complimenting her design accomplishments – painting.

Irina’s medium of choice is fluid acrylics. Her painting process is not theoretical, but primarily physical and sensory. She works with abandon, very often re-doing the same painting many times till she gets to the very essence of the matter. The words of a great master of abstract art Emil Schumacher sum up her process very well: “I approach the painting like I approach a wall, in order to find a gap through which I can enter, to get behind the unknown of the boundary. Once I have achieved it, it is no longer a secret and a new wall arises before me.”

Irina is also an art educator. She’s been teaching drawing and painting fundamentals at the Koffler Centre of the Arts.

Her recent exhibitions include Art for All Canada (Best in show), Willowdale Group of Artists show, 4 th Israeli Artists Group Annual Show. Peter My Boy, a book designed and illustrated by Irina was recently published by Kindle Amazon.

Irina Litinsky
Imaginigs from the Orange Planet 1
Mixed media
$200

Irina Litinsky
Imaginigs from the Orange Planet 2
Mixed media
$200

Irina Litinsky
Imaginigs from the Orange Planet 3
Mixed media
$200

IRINA LITINSKY

“I approach the painting like I approach a wall, in order to find a gap through which I can enter, to get behind the unknown of the boundary.”

[25

post-11281","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-listings_archive
["GET
